A 250x Question [Archive] - ATV Riders Forum

I was just curious, anyone with a 250x, can you tell me what sprocket/tire size combo you are running, and if you like the set up. I am running 22' rears with a 12 tooth front. The torque is great but the loss in the top ends is quite noticeable. Maybe I want my cake and to eat it too, but I was just wondering what everyone else is running?

I run 14/36 with 18" rear tires on my 250X.
14/38 with 20" rear tires.
I have never used 22" rear tires.

im running 14t c/s with 22 inch tires. works great for high rpm riding.

I have 13/38 with 20 inch tires and I love the torqe and speed. It seems to be the best combination for my riding stlye.

im runnin a 14t front sprocket w/ 36 tooth rear sprocket and 18 in tires.

right now im running a 13/38 because i tore up my 14 tooth( broke the teeth off a renthal sprocket lol).i love the 14/38 set up still have the torque and pretty good top end i can hang with a warrior that has a 14 tooth c/s and stock rear w/e that is and a FMF power core Q and 22's. oh yea i ahve 20's on mine
