View Full Version : Heads up to those having Jetting problems

01-29-2004, 08:51 AM
I just wanted to point out to everyone that is having jetting problems that your motor needs to be warmed up fully. Actually taking it out for a quick ride and getting the gas flowing is a good idea. You'll never dial in your carb if your going out and starting it up and crackin the throttle right off the bat and trying to troubleshoot from there.

Just an FYI since I'm seeing a new Jetting problem thread everyday..

your right. i have been replying to pm's and threads like crazy to try to help people with their jetting. i am thinking about typing up an article that tells the basics when jetting that way i can explain what has worked with me and what hasn't. also, i won't have to reply to as many jetting threads but just give them a link to the article that was written.

i would just like to say if you let your machine sit around then start it up one day for 3 minutes then turn it off and come back 2 weeks later you'll eed tyo dry your sprak plug cuz that gas was prolly just sitting in there..

it's really hard to say since this stuff can vary your jets 2 to 3 sizes
