I have a 200 426EX and I thought it was time to replace the battery since is 4 years old. SO i did and it went dead overnight. I put a full slow charge on it overnight afterinstalling it. Now it seems like it goes dead overnight. It is cold here in ohio but it shouldnt go dead overnight. what else would make it go dead quick. A short maybe but where anywhere?? =-)

it was shot because of the cold. it wasnt dead but went dead in like 2 min after trying to start it. and it wouldnt charge either.

so a black plug doesnt nessesaryly(sp) mean bad?

I actually dont have any new plugs i have to order them because knowone around here stocks them and the bike shop wants like $4 bucks a plug and advance auto has them for less then $2 but they have to order them. im going to order like 5 of them today and put one in and check it that way. if its black what should i do? or should i just ride it like that? thanks for helping me man...

well here recently it has been starting fine with choke but not without. i know some people dont have chokes so i dunno. Colby told me to run a 170 which is what i have and it runs pretty good i think. others have told me a 160 if even to high... i am going to put a new plug in it and do a run with it and kill it while pinned ill check it that way...
