I think it is going to be a good realiable quad. Didn't get to ride it much....just in the parking lot at the dealer. Never got it out of 3rd gear. It had no problem lifting the front end off the ground 1st-3rd. It felt like I could use some body english to keep it on the ground if I wanted it to.

First, I would have to say that the stock exhaust is super quiet and restricks some of the power. To me it just feels like the exhaust is trying to hard to get out.

I was not impressed with the turning radius. Don't know if tie rods are adjusted right on mine....seems like it turns sharper one way than the other. Probably just a set up mistake.

The factory shocks felt very good....to me just as good as some of the top of the line aftermarket out there, with the exception of the travel.

I have sit on both quads now and I do agree that the yfz does sit lower and probably a little wider, but I will be fixing that if you read my singature.

I disagree with the front end being light.....I can pick up the rear end with just one arm curl and could not with the front. I think this thing is going to fly like an eagle!!! Yeah, the front end did rise on me 1st-3rd but I wanted it too. I could have easily shifted it hard and kept the power to the ground.

trx to the yfz.....Going to be very close stock vs. stock. I have rode a stock yfz only on sand and it hooked up very nicely. I know I haven't rode this bike out of 3rd gear and it is not yet even broke in yet, but have to honestly say I think stock vs. stock the yfz will have the upper hand. But after my mods and when a pistion comes out I will have the upper hand!!!!!

Just my .02 will be riding with a yfz this coming saturday...

Seem like it turns right tigher than left? That is what mine seems like. But the bars are straight when you go in a straight line.:confused: Just kinda wierd. Didn't effect anything when rideing it but just seemd kinda funny when turning it in the driveway.

Also I agree about the front end being light. It seemed when I rode mine last weekend I could power out of the corners just fine and didn't have to much problem with the front end lifting when I didn't want it to. However when I did want it to come up it was easy to get it pointeing skyward.

Got mine today.

I heard that you told the dealer that you were going to mod the hell out of it, so screw the extended warranty. The people at my dealer and your dealer evidently talk quite a bit. For me, I bought the 4 year warranty. I'm done with racing and don't care if I can beat a YFZ. I'm ready to just lay back, have fun and not take quads so seriously anymore. Damn, I wish Sparks would call me and say my pipe is ready to ship!!! :D I just need more noise.

29ftex did you get your quad today or yesterday?

Yeah, they tried to throw the extended warrenty on me but after all the mods in my singature I really don't know what good the warrenty would do me.

I have already paid for half of the mods I have listed and will pay off when everything is in and on the bike. I think my total was $6800.

I will be racing dora mx, sugarcreek.com, ozark and a few in Ok and TX.

All my mods and parts should be in and on the bike by the first or second week in march.....Can't wait to post the pictures.

MACSOLOCAM where did you get your parts and when did you order them? I have already gotten my Elka long travel shocks all the way around, hiper wheels, nerfs, roll pegs, bumper, my Fat Boy 4 exhaust is going to be here tommorow along with my laeger long travel a-arms, and brake lines all around. My K@N filter is on order and my lonestar axle. golden west has been great to me. they sent all of my stuff to me super quick. I am going to bolt on everything tommorow except for the long travel front end. I am waiting for my axle first. Golden west told me that the pro pegs are not mounting up very good at all on to their production bike. They sent me the roll pegs and standard nerfs instead.

good loking picts im going to keep the pict of the back for future refrences so i dont run one over on the trails. still a nice bike though.

I have AC standard nerfs and Roll Design pegs. They told me that the pro pegs nerfs were not fitting good, so they sent me the standard nerfs. I tried to put them on last night and they might need some work to get them to work. Overall I am not to happy about the fittment of them.

AC nerfs seem to be a little tuff to get one the 1st couple times, they were on our blaster anyway but with a little "help" they went on & look the best I think. Nice 450's guys!!!
My hubby called me yesterday from a bike shop :eek: that had 4 of them babies in stock I guess :blah: I said, well did ya fill out the credit app & he says NO cuz I knew we would be approved & I just got back to work:( bummer I thought he was bringin one home :confused: OH well that means he's thinkin though :D I would kick some arse flattrackin' one of them hehehe
