Well some models, the pipe guard just comes with the header. Like on the Raptor and the 400ex I believe. Call DMC and ask them!

ya, the 400 full system comes with a header guard. It looks pretty good too.

Is he talking about a heat shield? A heat shield and header guard are two different things.
