dial-a-jet on a 400EX

I have a 2000 400EX with a DG pipe, k&n filter and a jet kit with the lid on. I bought a dial-a-jet and it says to create a lean condition, so my question is will it be lean enough to run the dial-a-jet if I only take off the airbox lid or do I have to jet down? If anyone knows please respond!!

Haven't tried the dial-a-jet, but researched it a bit thinkin I might get one... if it were me I would put the stock jet back on.. that should be lean enough with the pipe and k&n. Of course, it's not hard or expensive to test, so why don't you just get a stock jet and one that's a size or two lower and TRY them? :p
