TRX300 Shocks on a 400EX

Does anyone know if front shocks from a TRX300 (utility) will fit on a 400EX?? I'm doing this to lower my 400 for ice racing.

I'm not sure if they will fit.....but it would be easier to just buy the lowering brackets....

I know 300ex shocks will fit and lower it about 3 inches.
