Has anyone raised there handle bars up an inch or so. The handle bars just seem to sit to low for me?

I am thinking about getting a longer stering stem.

I am 6'2" tall .

Yep, you can get a +1 inch steering stem and some high rise bars, should bring it up about 2 1/2 - 3 inches.

I have 2 1-1/2" risers on my handle bar clamps that I got off e-bay. Really nice, but my brake cable, throttle cable, & clutch cable are tight. What a difference, however I flipped my bike & there went my stering stem. Does Renthal have high rise bars?

I am also 6'2" and I run a stock stem w/ Pro Taper Pastrana FMX bend bars. With clamps they are about the same height as stock, but a way flatter bend! Works very well!

I like that!

I extended my stock stem 1.5 in. it helps out allot

How did you extend your steering stem. Did you cut it and add a collar then weld it back together

Does your front brake cable fit tight?

Do you still have the stock swing arm?

With my height & weight my front end likes to come up in the air. (alot)
I really do not want to lengthen it to long because I will loose turning radius.

I took a 8 in piece of stainless steel, bored on a lathe it to slide over the stock stem, then I scribed a straight line on the stock stem then cut it in two, scibe a straight line on the extention, then slide it all together and match the line up and weld it.

I've been running mine for over a year now no problems all. as for the cables everythign is long enough.the turning radius will not change, on some after market stems it will though. I keeps your back straighter when you stand up, you have allot more control in the woops :D

I raised my an 1 1/2" and my cables get tight when I turn. I have Renthals for a 400ex.
I am going to change over to Pro Tapers.

I would do that to see what height you want.

I will be looking forward to it.

I can not find that kit on Rocky Moutain. I found the Trail Tech kit with Tag T2 with CR double Hi Bend. That should bring me 1/2" above stock. I think???

It's not a kit. All seperate.

Use the measurement from the Renthal 400ex bend bars to make your comparisons, and do the math. Adaptor clamps are .750 higher too.

I bent my stem so many times I finally broke down and got an Arens stem. It's +1 with vibe damper and it's sooooo much nicer to ride with... and so far it hasn't bent! <knock on wood> And that's including a crash that left me with a metal plate in my shoulder...

that would be awsome for me...except the fact that they don't ship to Alaska. on there site it didn't say anything about that, and after waiting a month I called them, to find out that "I am out of area to call this number" so I gave C&D racing a call and they got one to me no problem;)
