well I just spent a couple hours grinding & polishing the welds on my header. I smoothed them out like a babys *****:D , I hav'nt had the time to test it out yet, was this a waist of time or will I see a noticable differance ??

oh ya its a stock bore,WB e series pipe,170main 3RD clip needle 42 piolet NO CHOKE,K&N & no lid on the air box

You will notice a slight difference. It was definetly worth doing it.

:D may not notice but should help with exhaust temp, less hot spots better flow

Great !I went the extra mile, I didnt just grind them flush with the pipe I spent some extra time to tapper them in realy nice so there was no ridge in the begining like some of seen done.

I am in the process of grinding my stock pipe also. I did not grind the weld even with the pipe as I was afraid of weakening the pipe connection. Does anyone know if grinding the weld flush is ok? I really don't want to have to reweld and grind again.:p

Its not worth the work unless you grind it flush. the piont is to alow for a smooth surface to reduce turbulance. you could always weld the out sides, I put 4 little tacks on mine for strength.

i've heard this alot but never really payed attention to it,what do you exaclty grind down>i no i mayb sound stupid but i never payed attention to what people said,lol.....the inside of the header pipe you grind down...that is what i am getting at,can someone clear this up a lil better for me tho,peace
