You will most likely need to up the pilot jet to a 42 or maybe a 45. The main jet will probably be fine but you might be able to go up one size to take advantage of the slightly less restricted airflow.

From what I have read about this mod, it is more for top end (high rpm) motors.

I removed my choke also, a bigger pilot will deffinatly help

But if you need to choke it to start it just squeese the intake boot while you starting it, that works for me

I have the stock pilot jet and no choke. After I removed my choke I didn't have a problem starting it. Do a search on "removing choke" and you might get some useful info.. One trick you might try is to take off your air filter and cover the whole with your hand and see if it starts. And if you haven't already, pump the throttle 3 - 5 times, before you push the start button.

I live at almost sea level and have a 42 pilot, with a choke. It is still a bit cold natured, but not like it was with the 38 pilot. At 5000 ft and no choke, you'll definately need the 45 pilot and you'll have to pump the heck out of it to crank and to keep going at first.

Any significant diference?
Is it worth?

At higher eleveations don't you normally decrease the jet size?
