Anyone in this area will be very happy to know
a new off road facility will soon be opening in
Bedford Kentucky. The name of this place is
Bucks Run MX Park. About 300 acres already
has plenty of trails but soon will have much more.
7 MX tracks are planned including a RACE only
ATV track and an ATV only practice track. There
are many special events planned for this summer.
To keep updated on any new developments

A date has not yet been set in stone. We are trying for late march
that is to have something available. This will be a long process.
This place will offer so much more creature comforts down the
road. The Bucks Run site has a small description of what the
place is all about now so check that out. Oh and yes we will
more than likely have at least one XC event in 04. Who would be good to contact about setting an XC race up?

I don't think 300 acres is enough to have a XC race on:confused:

That's great news to hear since I'm in Bedford about every weekend. Is this place going to be connected to Dtrack? I had heard that he was interested in expanding.

This is not connected to D Track but it will be managed by the same guy, thats me. And it looks like we will be open for trail
riding as soon as we can mark the property line, and get a good parking area setup. Depending on the weather we could open
within the next week or so.

Let us know when the gates are open. I finally got the scrambler out this weekend and I'm looking forward for this weekend.

Well we are not ready to open yet but we are going to try
to get a few groups of experienced, respectful riders on
the trails this weekend. This has to be organized and
everyone involved has to realize that the facility is not
developed yet. Anyone interested in organizing a group
email me, or call me. Thanks

Well we checked out the soon to open park and if you like climbing hills you'll love this place. We were on Utes all day and left the sport quads at home. I had a blast riding in the snow and ice covered hills. Got hairy quite a few times but it was more fun than I expected. Creeks to play, fields, lots of easy and also challenging hills. I can't wait to go back and ride when everything's not covered with ice...

I rode all the trails we went through Saturday ,slow
and looked for your phone but had no luck.
I'd say it's not in real good shape by
now, but you never know. I've heard of pets returning
to their owners after years have gone by. So don't give
up.

We need to get alot of ATVs out there. Bills keep
coming so you guys and girls help support this thing
so we make sure it gets completed. I'm not beggin
but pleeeease come out to see our progress.
By the way a big thank you to everyone that came
out last weekend, we had a total of 17 riders our
first weekend. I guess thats not too bad.

That field that you had the little track running thru has some perfect spots for some nice stepups....;)

We have got a lot of work done on the BIG MX track.
And the step up is there, I'd say pretty close to where
you were thinking. We are trying very hard to keep
a natural flow with what God put there already. He
sure gave us some good dirt. We have a start, a fall-
away after the first turn, after the second turn is
another short fall-away, then a big step up ,big bowl
turn the a step down, sweep left, sweep right.
You gotta come back soon man!

Travis,
So who's going to have the better track Dtrack or Bucksrun? Are the tracks you're building at Bucksrun bigger than Dtrack? Will the schedules conflict? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to plan when and where we'll be racing this year. About how many dates do you run quad MX? Thanks for the info.

Matt

We will have a series of 7 races. As of now 4 will be ran at
D Track and 3 at B.R. . We will also run at least one 2 day
race at B.R. . This will be a small championship race in itself.
Huge advertising will be involved. March 13th is what we
are looking at for the first race of the season @ D Track.
So get ready!

I just wanted to say that you guys have a good place to ride. It was a little muddy today, but we had a good time until we had a flat. We can't wait until the track is done and the weather clears and dries the ground out some. This place has alot of POTENTIAL!

dman
02-21-2004, 09:28 PM
Thanks for the good words! We will be working
hard to finish the layout of the track within a
week. we will also be working on new trails &
some other practice tracks. Hopefully you wont
recognize the place next weekend. See ya soon.

I don't have a dig. camera so I gotta get them developed I
promise I'll get them Mon. night. Where in the world was
everybody today. 4 people came out all day. Very bad
for business to have weather like this and no riders.
But at least it's good for moving dirt, we did do plenty of
that today. Maybe next weekend.
