What is better powder coat or Regular paint? For a black 400ex which the color would be red?

OK I will take for granted that you are unfamiliar with powdercoating and not ream you out like some other guys. Powdercoating is far superior to any type of paint will ever be.

Also, is the plastic black and you want the frame to be red? I think that will look awesome. It will be a nice contrast to the black.

Remember, powdercoating is the schiz............ask for Pappy!

Powdercoat, without a doubt. And if your thinking about doing the frame, dont skimp, get a layer of clear. If you don't you'll regret it. I did a XR frame last summer for a guy, and hes already snivlin' 'bout it rubbin off where his boots touch. If he would have paid for clear it would have lasted a lot longer.

a guy down the road from me has a 400 and has stripped the whole thing and spary painted it twice. He puts like 5-6 coats on at a time.....and it looks like *****. I told him to bring it to the powercoating place and get it done for $100, and it would last him and look a helluva lot better than plain ol spary paint. If you are going to take the time to tear the whole quad apart to make it look good, at least get done what you intended to do, not a half @ss job that spray paint would do;)
