I'm not sure if this topic was threaded yet, but can anyone verify the 450r K&N air filter pn: HA-4099 to be correct?

http://www.outerwearsracing.com says that the pn is HA-4099,.....

if this is true then the 450R K&N and the 400EX K&N filter are the same.. and I've got 2 of those!

:D

Call golden west, they have them and they can tell you the part # People golden west seems to have all of the parts for these 450r's. I ordered one of them on Dec. 2. So yes they have them and they will have the part # if they are out of stock.

When you get your 450R just try out your 400ex filters and see if they fit or not. If it does great if it doesn't then buy some for a 450R. Problem solved

Is that axle made for the 450R or is it out of a 400EX?

400ex, it requires a 250R collar, and a plate to relocate your sprocket 1/8"

Can you shed some more light on this? A few more details will be nice:)

Will this work with any aftermarket 400ex axle?

Well here is my opinion on the K&N filters. They really don't do the best job of filtering. This isn't all that great on a steal sleved cylender but not as big of deal as they can be bored for fairly cheap. However on a Nikasil cylender it is detremental as if the surface of the cylender get's messed up at all you have to buy a complete new cylender. So you won't be finding a K&N on my 450R. Take it for what it's worth but don't come crying to me when you have to buy a complete new cylender because you got grit in yours and messed it up.
