View Full Version : Maxxis Razr's

Me and my friend were lookin to put a set of Maxxis Razr's on my 250X and his 300ex, but i want to know how they perform before i put them on. I was also wandering if they are really good in the mud, and since i do mostly trail riding my sidewalls are always getting scuffed up and there is always the possibility that i could have a blowout, so i wanted to know how good they are because i don't want a tire that the sidewalls are too skinny.

Get the six ply Razrs. You will love them. I had them on my last quad, and I just got them for my new quad.

Razrs are excellent all around performance tires. They are fair in deep mud. If you ride alot of deep mud, look for a more aggressive lug pattern

i have 22-11-9 6ply razrs on douglas red labels on the rear of my 2002 300ex and i love them they hook up it everything but they do wear a little faster than the stockers of the 300 and most other tires but it hasnt affected me that much yet just dont ride on the street with them thats all

I got them on my 250ex. 20-11-9-4ply. they work great for anything but mud. they suck in the mud. only thing worse would be turf tamers. my kids lt-80 with stock tires went better in the mud. maby her quad is better than mine.

23X7X10 fronts, and 22X11X9 rears

I cut the side wall on one rear at high speed, clipped a rock at Hatfield and Mccoy in West Virginia.

I love them.."decent" traction in all conditions...front tires really track well at high speed through rough sections...

I also am waiting on a spare 22X11X9 from Rocky Mountain ATV since January 24th....Where'd they all go???

Not right now.

If there is a question, I may be able to answer it.

Or did you just want to see what it looks like. I can go measure ground clearance if you want... :huh

BY THE WAY...I SENT ROCKY MOUNTAIN ATV AN EMAIL LAST NIGHT COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT GETTING MY SPARE TIRE AND SUDDENLY IT WAS SHIPPED TODAY...GO FIGURE

i have 22-11-9 Maxxiz RAzrs on my 250x and they are awsome.
i was a bit afraid i wouldnt be able to cut donuts on the road anymore, but i still can.
We play in the mud alot and those tires help me alot when i need them. My friend critiszed them when i ordered them but now he is taking back his word!!! He says he is glad i got them now.

You can really feel them grab........well hope you like them

i was just wondering how tall they looked, because i want to get a pair of 20's but im not sure if i want to lose the ground clearance, but im worried if i get 22s they might not slide as good as the 20s,

I ride in the woods almost 100% of the time..I ran 20" turf tamers for a VERY short time and took them off due to ground clearance issues. As for "slide-ability" the razr's slide very well..I do run them around 4 lbs in the rear...they slide decent..not as good as a 20" turf tamer, but pretty good. Way better than stockers or a more agressive tread tire.
