400ex shifting problem

My 400ex like hesitates when you shift it feels like its pulling or lagging. It seems like something is messed up with my gears and clutch or something i really dont know what it is. So can someone give me some help.:confused: :confused: :confused:

stock clutch? check the cable, make sure there is nothing causing it to lag.

Sometimes if I don't pul up hard enough on the shifter mine does that too, it dosn't go all the way into gear.

mine does that when i go from 1st to second...it goes into neutral but the light doesnt come on that time

consider:
slack in clutch cable
if its a 99' or 00' model it may need the newer lifter pin
400ex's dont shift all that smooth to begin with and like to get caught in the middle sometimes if you dont pull on it good
