quadtech hood on 400ex?

hey ive got new maier plastics for my 400ex im wanting to put a quadtech hood and gas tank cover on it as well but someone told me that the hood doesnt fit on the 400ex ive never seen it myself just wondering if anyone knows details and how does that go on is it just bolted into the plastics?
