whats faster ?

id like to now wich quad is the fastest out there rigth now. pred,z400,yfz450,rappy,400ex, ex athore than the banshee.

all stock the raptor is the fastest out of those i believe. That will be on top end, id say the new 450 would be quicker off the line.

top end I believe is DS. Then raptor/banshee (I don't believe that crap about raptor being faster).

In a 1000 feet drag, it'd probably be banshee/predator, raptor/DS.

Not listed either but a cannondale should take them all. And yes the DS650 is faster, than a raptor.

I dont feel like the Predator is anywhere close to being the fastest. YFZ/TRX450's are top of the heap, followed by Raptor/DS. Thats just from my experience, though.;)

with all them being stock off the showroom floor the predator is 2 mph faster on top end than a raptor. I think the pred is the fastest topend stock, except for the 04 DS.

I raced a Raptor with a K&N and Jet kit and Razr tires today and a stock Predator with my YFZ 450 today . Out of the hole I take them no problem . The Raptor takes me on top end by about 1 1/2 bike lengths . the Predator by 1/2 a length . Was also on hard pack snow and my YFZ is stock .

but, if it were just a 300' drag, like at friday nite races, the order changes, exactly opposite.

I have not raced a pred that I could not beat, MX, XC, Trails, or a drag.

YFZ...nothing special to it, just well balanced and VERY quick.

But, yall know that already.

The topic of the thread was "who is the fastest" that is the acurate #'s for top speed quads,you cant possibly get an accuate # for who is TOP DOG in a drag IMO with stoock or lightly modded quads, ALOT of factors invloved in accurate results......Heck, IV beat a YAMMI in a Drag with my pipe 400ex:huh :eek2: But we BOTH know its not faster, I just know how to get off the line in a hurry.......:p :D If we REALLY wanted to get serious on whos fastest..........It would DEF be the Zilla 500:blah:

That would be my cousin's. (2004TRX450R) Yea, I rode it for about 5 minutes. Its pretty sweet, has a really easy balance point for wheelies, and turns tight. It was tough to get it on 2 wheels when i was trying, so thats a good sign. Its good enough that I am most likely putting the Banshee for sale and buying one.:cool:

Id say we were runnign maybe anywhere from 700 feet to 800 feet ... on hard packed snow where planes land on the ice . Top end meaning 5th gear , I didn't have the throttle wide open though because I'm still doing " break-in" and I know I could have revved it a little higher . We were also doing rolling starts , cuz the Predator wasn't hooking up on snow . If I could ahve revved it more and held it open alot longer I think Id have taken the predator . The raptor I believe still have me on top end . The extra CC's show for the Raptor on top end . Low through Mid range ... I pull them like nothing . We'll see next time I take it out . Maybe once I jet it , it'll run a little better.
