won't idle now?

I installed my 426 kit this morning. I installed a Hotcam stage 2, a Curtis Spaks timing key, 11:1 piston, removed the choke, installed a dynojet kit. Now the thing won't idle below 1700 rpm. any guesses why?:confused:

right after i installed my stage 2 cam, i had idleing problems too. i have a 42 pilot jet in and i need to be 2 turns out on the fuel skrew in order for it to idle. if i am out farther, it won't idle after the bike is fully warmed up. i have heard several other memebers having this problem too.

I did not even think to check that. I did install a 42 pilot jet

mine still has an irratic idle. sometimes it is higher and other times it seems to be alittle lower. it seems to change as the temp of the engine changes or in other words when bike gets hotter vs when it is colder.

another thing to check is to make sure you don't have an air leak. check both boots that hold the carb on and also the boot that holds the carb to the head. make sure those 3 bolts are tight. make sure your bolts on the carb are tight too.
