Special Thanks goes to DirtFiendRacing.com & Lance Farwick (Norrisboat) for assisting EXriders.com by providing the results & pictures. :D Also, #19 Jason Dunkelberger(Lost Creek Cycle/Rausch Creek Racing) kept EXriders.com informed of the days events.

It was another exciting day of racing out on the West Coast. This weeks event was much different than the 1st Round because it was more of a TT course with a few kicker jumps. The track was extremely fast with some banked corners, and the start was very important.

Heat 1 - In the first heat Keith Little got the hole shot and led for first couple of laps until he got a rock stuck in his rotor. That left the hole wide open for Second place Dana Creech and 3rd place Tim Farr. It ended up finishing up that way too. Dana Creech got first and Tim Farr got second. Keith Little lost a lot of ground and positions which awarded him a second row start in the main.

Heat 2 - In the second heat Korry Ellis pretty much checked out from the beginning. He was smoking around the track. Behind him was Dunkleberger and 3rd place #72 Skyler Stewart.

#53 Kory Ellis Won the 1st line position and was in front of the line of riders waiting anxiously to head to the starting line.

The starting line was two rows with the Heat race top finishers getting the front row. (Left to Right) #72 Skyler Stewert, #4 Tim Farr, #19 Jason Dunkelberger, #1 Dana Creech.

Kory Ellis's stradegy worked and he took the early lead with Tim Farr on his bumper. Dana Creech was in 3rd and Jason Luburgh in 4th

Those outward banking turns took its toll on several riders.

#5 Josh Fredericks got turned sideways in the path of what looks to be Jeremy Schell. Daryl Rath on the Orange Predator was able to avoid the collision on the outside. #94 Dustin Nelson was able to pull out of the turn untouched.

#5 Josh Fredericks YFZ was flipped over from the collision.

Meanwhile, Tim Farr regained the lead over Ellis as they passed lapped riders.

Tim Farr(Factory Honda) rode rentlentlessly and wasn't about to surrender his lead tonight. His 450R seemed perfectly dialed in as he went on to Win Round #2 with another great rider Kory Ellis only inches away finishing second.

#1 Dana Creech finished an impressive 3rd

Congrats to Tim Farr and Factory Honda!

BTW, was Gust not there? I didn't even see him in the Top 10:confused:

Doug Gust, was not in attendance. He also wasn't at the ITP Quadcross race last week. I heard rumors that he had to head home because of something important, but I not sure of the details.

what does BTW mean and why does tim farr never smile and always looks grumpy   :blah:

jb500ex
01-25-2004, 09:35 AM
he's not smiling because he is a honda factory rider and they have so much pressure from honda that they are not happy until they win the championship. ask rc or anyone who ever rode for them. PRESSURE ALL THE TIME

im starting to worry. do they jump at theese races? or are the jumps just little jumps or something. it looks like there racing tt or somethng. is there alot of jumps on the track? it was starting to scare me seeing no jumps or nothing and all of them with that fancy suspension.

AZblaster44

They switch the tracks up. Some are mx/sx style and other are more TT style tracks..this one happend to be more of a TT style race

Phoenix was an incredible race. It was great having the best seat in the house also. Nothin like sitting on top of the cars that the monster trucks were going to crush later on in the night. I was right in the middle of the action.

There were a few jumps in the course but the pictures with jumps didnt turn out very well. With a few more accesories added to my camera the picures next time will show up great.

Great job by Farr and Factory Honda ... Great Job by Ellis also .... I can see this is going to be an interesting year for ATV racing . May the best rider and team take it all . Did Jasmin Plante race any of these races ?? Or is he back home resting?? I know he does a lot of ice racing in the winter ... maybe he's up ehre dominatiing again.

I didn't get a chance to talk to Jason before he left for Cali but I think he doesn't have a major sponsor.

thanx for the coverage Harlen. Way to go Tim Farr. Sorry that Keith got a rock in his rotor. may have given Tim and the others a run for their money.Oh well, there is always next time.:D

The woody quad isnt actually one of farrs quads, honda just made that one for the dealer show. His quads all use leager components. I see he changed his front end to a t-pin since the 1st race. He only have the lt leager front end on before.

Does anyone know when and where the next race will be? And will it be on tv? Thanks

I can help clarify why the jumps in this race was so minimal. They ordered 4500 ton of dirt, and only got 1500 ton delivered. This is according to the track official I talked to during the quad practice session.

this is jason dunkelberger. i'd just like to say that these tracks at the indoor races are nothing more than a pathetic tt track. but this is nothing new thats how most of them have always been. the past two tracks at anahiem and phoenix haven't been great tracks to race on. hopefully at san diego this saturday we'll get a better track to race on!!!! but i'm not getting my hopes up!!!

What would be your guys' ideal track? More supercrossy (like the Dirt Riot?!) or more TT style? Just wondering what you guys prefer to play on!! That track at the Dirt Riot was sick to watch you guys on......!!!! And yeah....I was disappointed when I saw the Bank One track.....but you guys still did a good job of tearing it up out there! :)

for those who wanted to know... Jason Luburg is Racing for Nac's this year. he won the 2001 4-stroke Pro Am Champion and the 1999 4-Stroke A. I guess you could say Nac's is Jason's main sponsor for the year. it's great to see the 450R out front :)! can't wait to pick mine up next week. yeah, it's much more exciting when you see big triples and stuff. no offense to anyone, but i think flattrack is really boring. i personally think whoever has the better bike wins, 450R in this case :blah:
