help carrier

How do i get the dust seals out of the carrier. I dont reallw how to describe it but theres a little metal ring it looks like the seal slides under . And doesnt that ring have to come out for the bearings to be able to slide out?. I really need help.

Screw driver and pry them out.They should be replaced at the same time you change bearings.They can be reused but you have to be very gentle with them during removal.

i went crazy with mine & got knives & screwdrivers out to get mine out

but the little rings on the edge of the inside of the carrier......they must come out right?....and i ripped off all the seals i could and there is still rubber under the little metal rings....how do i get these rings out so i can get the bearings out of there?

May have to use a dremmel tool.

can somebody who has done this plz tell me how to remove the dust seals/metal rings, and bearings step by step please because the replies im getting arent useful...what do i use the dremel for? does anyone else have the little metal rings under their dust seals??? i dont understand

do whatever you can to get the dust seals out...this was the easy part, if you think this is hard wait untill you have to get the bearings out behind them...jebus krist

ok nevermind i just got em out....pryed the seals out with a flat head and heated the carrier and tapped out the bearings...thanks for the help
