you could always cut it off the pipe. I think it gives oyu more low end not possitve though.

i dont know of anyone that makes any long ones but my buddy had a blaster and didnt wanna flip back over at all so he made one outa 1/2 inch steel that is like over a foot long. its really ugly but it does what he made it for. i also have one made out of the same stuff on my 250x but i made it about the same length as the stock one. i wud rather have this one than any because no matter how hard i slam back on the thing it Will Not Bend. of course it dusnt look wuite as nice as aftermarket but it looks plenty good for me.

cutting the pipe doesn't give a noticable amount of low end or it doesn't make it that loud....i cut mine 2 1/2 inches off and i couldn't even tell a difference, and it stays behind the grab bar.

my dad got a q for his suzuki and it stuck out like 3 inches he got his cut down too. No big difference in sound or low end.

Didn't you have to get a headpipe with the Q? There is no reason for such poor engineering! It is obvious that the quad will have to be pushed back onto its grab bar at some point.

just use a hack saw or something, my dad took it to someone and they put it in a machine and it cut it. make sure its straight so the endcap goes back on it straight.

A metal cutting bandsaw would be best, but if you are careful and have a sharp blade, a hacksaw will work. After I saw your post, I looked at the cutaway muffler in the FMF ad. I'm not sure if cutting the can will work. Does it actually have an inner "jacket and muffler" You don't want to make a cut and realize that you've got an inner liner and core to deal with shortening too. Not everyone can weld aluminum if that is what the inner "liner" is made of. You'll see what I mean if you look at one of the ads in the mags.

dont cut the pipe. just get some metal and make one. and if you cant weld, have someone weld it for you. its really not that hard.
