my buddies and i are making a ramp. we are using plywood for the face of the ramp. what should we coat the ply wood so we can get traction without slipping of spinning. i see a lot of ramps on here, what do u guys do.

thx for info
kyle.

I'm not exactly sure what everyone uses but i bet if you got some house roofing and nailed that onto the wood or stapled it or whatever......that would probably give you pretty good traction...I'm sure after awhile you will have to replace it but if you buy a pack or 2 it should last awhile...

thx, i was thinking something like that, or a coat of that sandy sealer you put on concrete to keep it from getting slippery,

but yeah keep the info coming please

first make sure you are using marine pressure plywood or it wont last that long. get some wood primer/sealer and throw some sand or sand blasting silica. mix it in good and roll it on. thats what i did and it works pretty good. you will need to eventually re apply. im thinking of using astroturf on my next covering

I would think that something like spray in box liner work pretty good, don't you?

What was the gap set up on that muff? How fast were you hitting that?

that gap is like 35ft...when moved to 40 they were hittin it way to hard, the transition wasnt smooth enough for high speeds

I never really got to hit it cause I broke my leg pretty bad, I'm not sure how fast he was hitting it
