I need some advice guys. My bike is runnin awesome right now, but I need a little bit more go to keep up with the illegal guys bikes in the stock class. Right now my engine mods are a smoothebored carb(illegal), 11:1 piston, jetted with the airbox lid off, supertrapp header & silencer, premium pump gas with octane booster. So, what do you guys think i could do(illegal & legal:D )?

350x airboot, KN airfilter, and clean up th inside of the headpipe. Try and polish the inside of it for better flow. Also try a timing advance key and maybe lighten your flywheel.

Whats the deal with the 350x airboot, will this flow more air or something? Also Gates, Smootherd carb? Whats that mean? Thanks. I just bought a FCR 39mm and I am also lookin for somewhere to do a port and polich job.

Smoothboring a carb is when they bore the inside of your carb to get more air-flow

Yes the 350x airboot lets in more air. It is the tube between the airbox and the carb and is much bigger than the stock airboot.

I need to start reading a little slower and I could answer my own questions. I know what a airboot is to, but thanks for reminden me. Is there any mods that need to be done tothe 350 airboot to make it work with the FCR?

the 350x airboot mod is for the 300ex. I don't think it will work for the 400ex and the 400ex airboot is probably the same size anyway.

You probably shoud have specified that then because I am pretty sure Gates rides a 400ex.

JhallettEX i thought it was a 400 also.......all the way untill i read the part about the supertrapp header. Maybe gates needs to be clearer and he could get more help.

hey gates why dont you let the officials know that there is illegal activities goin on in the stock class?

I think its real low to enter a stock class and CHEAT

whats the use of racing then if your not going to follow the rules?:o :o :o

well for one thing, its hard to run stock & keep up with the non stock people. that a good enough reason???

well for one thing, its hard to run stock & keep up with the non stock people & if i were to just go ahead & run the modified class it would just be me & cody. take a wild guess who would win that. when you know theres illegal stuff going on you have to put down $100 & tear their bike down :& find the illegal stuff in 15 minutes. Theres a number of things they could have illegal.
