Performance mods for my 400ex?

I was wondering what I can do to get some HP out of my 400ex. So far all I have is the WB pipe and a K&N. I dont really want to bore it out yet, becuase I am running low on money and really dont want to tear apart my whole quad. I have heard of a alot of things to do but dont really know whats the best. I am looking to spend no more than a couple hundred.

Also what does an timing advance key do and is it worth the 20 bucks?

take an old furnace filter and cut it to fit your air box and hold down with stock clamps and ducktape,but youll have to rejet or dial a jet on the second setting;)

I think I'll pass on that one..I already have the 1" holes with the little filters in them on my airbox lid.
