what class would a turbo charged 400ex race in. its still under 450cc since turbo chargers dont add ccs on to a engine. eather way though it would own the open class. and is there any websites that sell the turbo for the 400ex or do you have to custumize your own.

Not if its hidden in your airbox. It doesnt even have to be a small 8 oz. tank here's a 20 oz. bottle on a 400.

there was an article in dirt wheels last year about a company in mexico or south america that had a turbo raptor and 400ex. i think they use hks components. no internal motor work had been done to the 400 and i think it dyno'd around 47hp with 11 pound of boost. i remember for sure that the raptor put out 72hp at 13 pounds.

and another thing, turbos do add ccs just not in the way you are thinking. if you have a 400 ex putting out 14.7 pounds of boost that is the equivalent of 800cc's going throught the motor. ccs are a measure of displacent at standard atmospheric pressure and temperature (14.7 psi and 70F) and when you increase the pressure, or boost, of the incoming air you increase the amount of air that is displaced through the motor. and if you make 7.35 pounds of boost the motor is displacing 600cc's.
