 I Have A super tricked 426ex and when I am in the sand I cant get into 5 th gear without down shifting into 4th. This is on pure sand no rocks. I have stock sprockets on it and it is fast but I have no power on sand in 5th gear on the sand highway. In Gordons Wells in So Cal.

there is no reason why you should be lacking power. i would check on that jetting. i am wondering if he richened it up too much.

Sand has much more rolling resistance than dirt. You could drop to a 14 front sprocket . That will help some but the bottom line is you need alot of HP to haul
*** on sand.
