old honda

i have a 1971 honda ct70 3 speed semi automatic. that i found in my basement...im 13 years old and me and my friend stripped it down and are gonna look at the motor as soon as i dont have basketball practice one day.......if ur gonna learn how to work on a motor i guess this is somethin good to work on...it has no compression and no spark, the battery and spark plug are good and my dad put new oil in it.......could anybody tell me what u think the problem is before i get it apart, and would anybody like to buy it if i cant get it runnin and work on it or do w/e u want with it......if so reply, thanx,
