when installing a white brothers power filter from a stock filter do i remove the metal cylinder and the foam filter and just run the White bro's filter without the metal cylinder?

Thats what I did with my K&N. Look inside the filter ther should be some kind of support system, if there isn't you'll have to use the stock one. Also if there isn't a support you should be able to squeeze or fold the filter.

Your not too smart if you run your filter without the metal flame arrestor.

That metal thing is to stop your filter from catching on fire if you carb Backfires.

One time my carb backfired so bad,it blew the filter off. So Plz run your metal flmae arrestor with the filter, cause if she backfires and the flame arrestor isn't on there, and maybe the filter just hapopens to catch on fire, then say By BY 400ex,cause she will be in flames!

yea, that would really ruin ur day if u caught ur 400 on fire, if ur gunna blow it up, do it off a huge jump, not an airfilter prob.

ok thank you guys! i stuffed the metal filter piece back in before i went out riding anyways because the WB filter looks alot like the stock one, the K&N seems to have more support and my friend with the k&N doesnt use the metal piece. oh well. i just put in a Complete white brother full race kit and im am amazed at how freaking fast this thing is now! cant wait till morning so i can hit the local pits and really teest it out =):blah

well if your quads are tuned and running properly they shouldn't back fire so I wouldn't worry about it.
