Playstation 2 Modchip

I have a PS2 mod chip that has Never been used in a PS2 for $15. I bought it but never bothered to install it. It lets u play copied PS2 games oviously and installation should be easy, no soldering is required. I will e-mail the directions (yes it has pictures) to who ever buys it. it will fit in an envolope so shipping will be free.
WILL ONLY WORK WITH PLAYSTAION 2 MODLES WITH MODEL # SCPH-30000

Couple of quick questions...... Do you know if you can still use the DVD player if the chip is installed? And is it like the mod chip's for the old school playstation where you have to put in a "real" game and then do the swap? Thanks for the info, and I got first dibs :).

yes, i don't see why you can't use the DVD player, it should work, but if it makes u feel better, if the DVD function don't work, just send it back to me for a refund, no you don't have to do the swap, since is a chip that directly installs into your PS2 it should read it normally, but i will offer whoever buys it 1 week of use to see if they are satisfied becuse i have never installed it, so i don't have experienece with it. the reason why i am selling is becuse my PS2 is the wrong model, MAKE SURE you have the right model before u buy it. I will e-mail the instructions to who ever buys it too.

Thanks for the info!! The reason I asked about the DVD is, the early model chips were said to make it not work. Where on the console is the model number?
