Any one here anything yet. My dealer told me yesterday that they are expecting them anytime. He thought they would be on the delivery truck yesterday, but weren't. Hope someone else has some good news today....

the dealer should be getting a list of what will be on the truck and when it will be delivered for eachs hipment, so they should know ahead of time what and when the stuff will show up.

like i said a few post up, i called the guy im getting mine from this morning, which is a good friend and use to race with him and he said everything is still on for the 28th. he said the honda rep was there and everything was looking good. he told me he wil know ahead of time when they will be shipping and what day they will get it b/c im taking off work and hanging out at the shop till the truck comes. if some people are getting theirs this week, im jealous as everyone else. :D andi hope they post pics and a detail how they like it. when i get mine i will try to do a write up with pics if noone has one up.

just got off the phone with my dealer, they are shipping out on the 28th we well start to see them the first week of feb. (everybody is full of crap saying they are getting theres, honda is not gonna release just a few units, until you guys have prof that you actually have it dont start rumors)

im just ready. ive been racing since 92 on my 86 250R. ive never owned a brand new quad. ive always had to settle for used and then build it. this is my chance to have something new and build it and it be mine. sounds crazy i know.

My dealer said they would ship the 28th. He said he would not have them until the first week of February.

If he calls me before then Great! If not, then thats Great too! Maybe I should drive down there, pitch a tent and camp out in the parking lot till it shows up!

im not a kid, and im not camping out. we are slow at work and i have nothing else to do till Valvoline gets back with us on this years points championship. plus the guy im getting it from is a good friend i use to race with. i will just be going down there the day it comes in to pick it up, and i have to finish filling out the paper work so i will go early to do that and catch up with him and his family. i plan breaking it in, chaning a few things and hitting up the local practice track that weekend to see how it feels.

Ahh! I guess it would be exciting. Hell, I am pumped also. I got a brand new Fox racing out fit I can't wait to get dirty. I haven't owned a quad in like 10 years. I wish the thing would show up so I could get it ready for GNCC.

We have an indoor Motocross Track called The Motoplex. It is like 4 hours north of me but I am stoked to go up there and put some laps in.

Yea, I'll be doing the break in thing also. Fun! Fun!

There are like 20 of us that ride. I think I am going to try and get everyone together for a big riding Trip. We could go to several places close by.

Badlands
Lourell
Silver Lake sand dunes

My ultimate goal would be to visit Glamis. Long Haul from Indy though.

ive got a few tracks local, the one which is about 3 hours away is the 2nd stop on the NQRA series. i have been out of regular riding and racing for 3 yrs now, usually run just one or 2 races a yr. so im fat and out of shape as of now. :( so i will need to practice to get the feel of it. i will also take my R to see how they stand next to each other.

i was planning a trip to the badlands the weekend i get my new r, but with all the snow we got up here i did not know if it would be worth the trip down? i have never been there in the winter, so i did not know what it would be like riding. if you plan on going soon maybe we could meet up and show off our new 450r's.

Know a lot of people go, but we have had a lot of rain in the central IL / IN area so the gorund is gonna be way soggy if it isn't frozen. May be wise to wait til spring. I think you can go to their website and get a number and call to see what condition the place is in.

Yes it does my friend! I sold my 400ex in April in anticipation of the R coming out and haven't been riding since!!:( By the time I get mine it will almost be a year, but well worth the wait I'm sure.:)

I have talked to several dealers here in the Southern California area and none of them will even come close to budging off full retail plus tax and all the other fees, and that's with me looking to buy 3 of them. It looks like I'll probably keep waiting until the initial shipment's come in and the excitement die's off before I purchase to get a better deal, possibly sometime in April. If there is anyone that might have any suggestions on a good dealer I would love to hear it!!:cool:

my dealer is saying the 28th or 29th for pick up. I will be paying msrp for my r...6499. I only had to put up a 200 dollar deposit. my aftermarket parts are costing me more than the bike itself. I will probably be listing the stock parts on e-bay. The only stock thing about my R will be the frame and plastic when I get through building it.

The best place is LA cycle, near the air port. Go online, I think it's la cycle sports. Do not go in, set it up online, best prices in CA and real easy to work with. They will even email you a list of the OTD prices, no BS. Check them out.

Thanks for the reply, but I think the gas my Dodge would take to get there from Los Angeles and back would cost more than anything I could save at CC.:D

Called the dealer yesterday to whine. He said he was just going to call to tell me mine was shipping today and should arrive in the afternoon. Depending on whether it was uncrated Wed. or Thur. I would have it Friday, Saturday at the latest. Mine is the first at this dealership (NorCal) and was one of the Dec 8th, .:mad: I mean Jan 28th release ones. Oh yeah, I told him to put on the HRC kit I ordered as long as it wouldn't slow down me picking it up more than the 3 hrs labor he's charging. He said it would slow down pickup by a month since the HRC kits are that far behind the release. I can wait for that, I just want the damn quad. Full retail $7169 OTD.

HRC kit came in today at my dealership in Arizona.

My 450R should be here Thursday of Friday, couple of other guys got the info today here in Phoenix.

They are on the ground in Washington and Oregon. These things had to have come in through Seattle from Japan. I have heard that they were to be ASSEMBLED in Timmonsville, South Carolina but the Honda dealer in Timmonsville said he went on a tour just weeks ago and he saw NOTHING. I talked to him myself. I'll be interested in what the sticker on the frame says.

BTW, mines for sale. $7480

Another confirmation in the Seattle area. Got mine tonight. Haven't had a chance to ride it at all yet as I got it with no gas in it. NOONE has ridden it except for me after I did the PDI on it and putted it around the driveway. Haven't had a chance to really get on it yet though.

I'm no Alan Greenspan, but isn't that the exact OPPOSITE of how basic economics works? I mean, has the entire supply/demand thing gone out the window?? Dealers normally charge MORE (read: retail, or higher) when demand is high and supply is low, such as when the new models come out and there are only so many to go around...which makes me believe that if dealers AREN'T charging retail now, they WON'T be in the future either. But what do I know, I'm just a dumb hillbilly...:rolleyes:

Last time I spoke to my dealer he said it should be there the 28th. I probably wont be able to get it till sat the 31st since Im in New Jersey and the dealer is Upstate ny about an hour away. No time until the weekend because of my stupid job! :mad:
