can you fit with some fabrications a cr250 motor in a 300. maybe even a 400 or a crf450 motor in it. anythung faster than the 300 motor. i like the size of the chassis, but i want it to be quicker.

I think your best bet would be to do the Powroll (http://www.powroll.com) 350x coversion for the 250x. then get the electric start kit from Goki (I think thats the name). the powroll kit has the wiring diagram for 250x only not the 300ex, but if you get the electric start kit, you should be able to piece the knowledge together using the info from the 2, plus looking at how the 300ex is wired now.

a CR 250 motor would not be a good idea. if it was everyone would do it. I dont think the CR has a counter balancer, so it would shake the frame apart.

the CR450 might be a good idea:)

The CRF motor would be sweet, but you better get a +4 swingarm cause with the stocker, your Gonna Loop it pretty bad, also make shure you got room form a Radiator.

what about a 250r motor. I heard those fit with almost no fabrication.

dude, ther is no way a stock shock/ swingarmd 300 could handle a cr, or a 250r, u would loop onthe take off, bore and stroke it to 350.

300exrules,
take a look on ebay or the tradin times for an atc 350x. see how much you can pick one up for, then check out the prices on that powroll conversion. see if you want to venture into that area. in my opinion, that's going to get you the most bang for the buck. it is a pretty common conversion and you should be able to find people on the net who have done it and can give you some pointers. in all honesty, I cannot remember anyone putting any other motor in a 250x/300ex chassis.

unless your dead set on going the 2 stroke route. then the 250r may be your only choice. but like stated before, be prepaird to buy a longer swingarm, and you have to find room for the radiator.

One of the guys I ride with did a 350x conversion in a 250x frame. He really liked it, until the 400ex came out. He had seen 350x in a R chassis also. He also said that his stock 400 has better power and handling than then his 350x conversion. That was his opion.

i kinda wish i had a 350x, 6 gears, and id pump it up to a 440, then rip 400s in pieces.

$464.95 for the custom pipe.
$69.99 for everything else (motor mounts etc.)
I bought my 350x for $600.

if you think you can get a pipe custom bent to fit in the frame for cheaper, you may save some bread.
