I know it's probably been covered a million times, but which would you suggest? 416 or 426 bore for MX? I was thinking of running:

11:1 or 12:1 JE piston
HRC cam (copy from XR's only) or Stage 2 Hotcam
Port/Polish head
3-angle valve job
modded carb (until an FCR)
HD cam chain
***Already have a Sparks X-6 full system and hi-flow filter.

What do you think of this setup? 416 or 426? HRC copy or Stage 2 cam? Anything else I should think about doing? All pros/cons, info and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

i would go with the 416...i would go with the stage 2 hotcam over the hrc copy just because i dont kno how well made the hrc copy is and it may not be exact...it is pretty much all cons...11:1 for premium and 12:1 for race...thats about it

416. Okay, now what about compression? Will I notice a big difference between 11:1 and 12:1 compression? I've been thinking about a Stage 2 Hotcam, but something like a TC had crossed my mind as well. I'm sure the TC is much more expensive, but is it that much better? Should I go with a full-race, or an all-around port job? Also, about the 3-angle valve job, is it worth the money? Thanks.

I was looking to spend somewhere around $400-500 in parts, plus the boring, and head work. I would install everything myself. Have any ideas?

the 416 is all i can give my opnion on beacuse you still have one more bore left. But i really dont know anything bout the cams i know alot of people run stage 2's and tc seems to be popular.
