I NEED to know how to burn a data file on a CD.But these data files are from CD's copied onto the computer made into files that I want to put on a Disc to make MP3's to be used on my MP3 compatable CD reciver.

I seen my friend joe put these MP3's onto a CD like the big CD's.But his files said ''mp3'' an mine says ''cd''. Could some one please help me...

What burner program do you use? If it's Nero just start a new compilation and choose "Data CD".

Hmm, not familiar with that program.

Are you positive your CD player can play "MP3 CDs", and not just MP3 files burned onto an audio CD?

Yes, mp3 files are written at a different compression ratio than data files on a CD. You're mp3 player wouldn't recognize the data files you burned on the cd. So many different formats... so little time...

Hard to say without looking at your burning program. Get your friend Joe over there to show you how.

Its pretty simple, Go to create Music CD and when the next screen pops up there should be a little option you can select that says "finalize CD" and it will play like a normal CD. Make sure that the blank CD your using is BLANK, not one that already has songs on it,
