I am finishing up my winter project. I installed an 11:1 426 kit on my 02 ex. I have spoken to multiple engine builders and they say the stock rod will be fine if I keep the stock rev limiter. I did a search and found multiple threads that advise to install a rod. what does everyone advise. I would rather take it back apart now if I have to that fix it later.

If you went much higher on compression I would but you should be fine. I ran a 11:1 440 for over 2 years and never had any rod or crank problems. I also used the stock rev limiter.

naaa, they just want you to spend more..

I've got dyno results from a 416 11:1 Wisco with heavy top end work (valves, port/flow, filter, 40mm Lectron, x6) that popped with NOS at 55hp with stock rod. I know ain't no 416 doing that without a bottle. So, don't worry bout that....
