not starting

My 400 got to were it would not start. So me and my dad put new bruches in the starter. Then i put it back on and now the starter will turn but something is not engaging. And when i turn my head lights on it acts like battery is dead and they just kind of flicker. Any help would be apriciated.

check your wiring. this sounds like there is a loose one somewhere.
