Flat track tires

I am just getting into this and was wondering if anyone had tried the cheaper flat track tires that Dennis Kirk sells. Are these tires worth buying, I really don't want to spend 100 dollars per tire and then not like this style of racing and be stuck with them or take a loss selling them. Does anyone have a used set of good tires they want to sell?

will those flat track tires last a long time on the roads & streets?

I would just get American Racers. What kind of dirt is it on? I race indoor flat track on soft dirt so I just run my MX setup (turfs rear, holeshot MXs front) and it works fine. But if you are on clay definately go with American Racers or Hoosiers. Get a hard compound for clay too.
