300ex bog's down in 5th gear

my 300 wont rev out in 5th gear i can be pinnned to the max in 4 gear and shift into 5 and it bog;s down and wont rev out.

How much do you weigh? What size and kind of back tires are you running and what gearing?

im about 155 to 160 im running 22 or 20 inch bandits and its stock gearinf and its a 2002

Bandits are a heavy tire and if they are 22inch it might just be they are bogging it down...Is the jetting stock? Is the exhaust and intake stock?

Rejet the carb with a larger main jet and it should run better.

the heavier tires will slow you down. the bandits are a heavy tire in the first place. also, my aftermarket front tires slowed my bike down more than my aftermarket rear tires. i just put on some smaller front tires so hopefully my bike won't bog as much in the upper gears. if your running a 22 inch tire, you might want to go down a tooth on the front sprocket.
