I just took off a FMF full system and put on an HMF Full system and now it leaks air out of the head. It didnt do it with the FMF. do i have to replace the gaskets everytime I change head pipes. Did anyone else have this problem when installing a full HMF system?   :blah: :blah:

Its not the HMF muffler system its just you need 2 new copper donut gaskets to go between the head an headpipe. Simple fix.

i just replaced them when I put my 426 kit in it though. Should I replace them everytime?

You dont think HMF messed it up when they made it do you. ill check the gaskets tomorrow.

I dunno sometimes they need replaced sometimes they don't. Also another thing is sometimes it takes a little while and let a little carbon buildup and that problem will solve it self. I highly doubt its the HMF headpipe. Make sure the gaskets are defintly on there they fall off easy.

i didnt see them fall off but then again i never checked to see if they were even on there. will it hurt to ride it for a little while just to see if carbon does build up and make it better? Or will it ruin the head job i just did.

I dont see it hurting anything......the only way the carbon buildup will fix itself is if its just barely pulsing air out...if its leaking bad you need to take the header back off...

I can fill the air comming out and hitting my hand so the carb deal prolly wont work. if I replace the gaskets and it still leaks what should I do next and ideas:confused:

Yeah a local honda shop should have them in stock. Ive got an HMF slip on and it has great quality and performance and Im sure the full HMF slip you have will outperform the FMF full system.
