OK, I sold my stock Z plastic on ebay. C&D said they usually charge $30 to ship new, Rocky mountain charges $51. UPS tried charging me $119. Whats going on??? I have it all in one package at the moment, I don't think it could get much smaller as 2 individual packages.

It could be bulk discount, I know it is very common with freight companies. I shipped an outboard motor from Wisconsin last year and the freight company quoted me $450. By billing it to my employer, and thenreimbursing them, it only cost me $117.

Try FedEx ground, they are cheaper than UPS

wilkin250r is right. Shipping companys give breaks to big customers. I bought some fenders last year, it was cheaper to get them at the dealer. Shipping was big bucks at Service Honda

you have to use UPS logistics is what i think the name is. But yes that $100 cost is normal.:(

It also depends on where the package is coming from and going to.

Package size is also extra, if it's an oversized box they'll charge you more. From the ups site: "Any package with the longest side exceeding 60 inches or its second-longest side exceeding 30 inches"

You paid $125 to ship your plastic? Surely the buyer didn't reimburse you that much?

USPS, yeah right. They laughed at me when I tried thru them, they only ship stuff so big. Fed Ex wanted $145.

Plastic sold for $285-$125=$160, so I still did ok.

So far I have had good luck with shipping stuff through USPS. Its cheap too.:o Why do you guys say shipping through them is "horrible" way of shipping items. Ive sent complete rear 300ex fenders, UPS quoted me about $80 from Missouri to some place in California, i think i ended up paying about $15 through USPS

I had ordered a part for my LT250r from Mid West Action Cycle( i think thats their name) a few years ago ... the part cost $75 ... shipping cost me $81 .... I looked at the bill and just shook my head and paid the man .... Lesson taught ... Buy Locally !!!!

I just sold my old EX fenders for 100 bucks. I had classes all day so I had to get my dad to box them up and ship them out for me. Well, my mom took my check book to pay the shipping. 126 bucks!!!!! I lost money selling my fenders. Oh well. Lesson learned.
