ok i got the atari (i believe 2600) and it has this metal box with the 2 wires going off it to attach to the back of a tv with screws but i dont have those on my tv(i dont think any new tvs do anymore) so im just wondering what i can do cuz i really wanna play this thing!:) so any help is appreciated. thanks. any other thingys for other systems work or something?

you can get a device that you can hook-up the 2 metal progs to a cable hook-up. i had the 2600 when it came out brand new around 1982? man i'm showing my age.......:confused:

bring the metal box (i know what your talking about but forgot the name of it) to radio shak and tell them you need an adapter for it to make it work on a modern TV. they should be able to help you out.

atari...Hell yeah:D I used to sit for hrs upon hrs trying to see how many times I could flip Asteroids...I think it was 3 ina row if I remember right, but by then I'd be lookin' for any reason to quit:D Astro blast, Pitfall...lmfao:D damn those graphics are sweet!! haha

they make an adapter at radio shack that looks like an rca plug on one end and a cable wire on the other(sorry i don't know the technical terms) i got it for mine there and it works great. i just brought the atari with me to the shack and thats what they gave me. it is about 1 1/2 in. long and silver

I was an Intelevision fan myself. I remember when they came out witha thing that would plug in the side so certain games could talk.

the adapter i was talking about it around $5.00. PBARR86 also has a link of one that will work.

yeah jeff intellivision was better than atari, but the best of all was colleco vision. nothing beats the colleco version of pitfall!
