Honda 300 4x4

Does anyone know how the outlet on the 3004x4 is supposed to work. You know the one up by the handlebars that has some sort of a cap on it. They say its an elctrical outlet but what do you plug into it and how? Do you need an adapter kit? Just wondering cuz I thought about using a spotlight on my sisters but I dont see how.

my dad has 2 outlets on his handlebars of his 300. he used them for spotlights at one time but dosnt use them any more. the are little ovle(sp) outlets w/ black covers over them???? i get a pic. later

I am talking about the one that comes from the factory on it, you cant plug a spotlight into it, it has 3 holes for 3 prongs or somethun. Anyone know???? how this thing works??
