1. What weight are stock shocks valved for ?
2. Whats the difference between preload and no preload shocks ?

1. I am not sure, but lets guess about 170#- the average weight of the average consumer.

2. Preload is the amount of tension on the spring(s). When the shock is fully extended, Zero preload shocks' springs will have very little tension on them. So little in fact that you can turn the spring with your hands. The main goal is a lower ride height without compromising the amount of travel available for the shock to use for a damping stroke.
