yea 250ex isnt even in the same catergory with any of these bikes. all bikes are equal in my opinion, rider makes a big difference!!! on a mx track a 400 in stock form may be a little slower, but you the mods are unlimited for them. a raptor, i never seen one finish a race live, never seen a ds on the track or in that case a banshee either. all bikes are good in there own ways but dont call something slow if its faster than what you have, you have the 300ex's little brother which is like a red headed step chil to the 400ex! by the way what is the C-DAles top speed?

well last year on the ice races, in a 1/4 mile I got 66.2mph I beleive with stock everything except a Megamax2 slip on, UNI filter and 22 inch realators on the rear. I'll see what my top speed for my setup that I have now in....3 days. I'm not really sure if this helps much but..... oh well-darren

well.. that's strange

we have 400ex, dale , ds , banshee we test with a car and here is our results

400ex = 75 mph
Dale = 85 mph
DS = 82 mph
banshee 81 mph

all of them stock gearing

man, thats pretty fast, i don't know about those speeds, we have them all too but never owned all of them at the same time. I think from fastest to slowest it would be:
Rappy - 75
Banshee -75
DS - 75
DALE - 75
KFX/ Z 400 - 70
400 ex- 65
I don't know if these are accurate, just guessing. I think there is some kind of law that says an ATV can not do over 75 or so coming from the factory. I believe the raptor,ds,dale, and banshee go as fast as the dealers are allowed to make them.
I raced a ds 650 bone stock vs. my bones stock 400ex with some holes in the box and sanded out headers, we raced 1 mile strectch straight, i let him go ahead before me and it just seemed like he didnt pull me at all, maybe cuz he wieghed 300 lbs and i wieghed 165 but still 650 rotax should pull the wieght you know.

not to be mean or nothing but my friend trade in his mojave and modded 400 ex for a yfz, brought it down to the "gramma drags " 125 yards and i tore his @ss up with my friends alba Z, but i still love my 400ex, yfz are the new generation of quads but wouldnt trade my 400 for anything

yall are all wrong with a stock banshee's speed. my brother bought a stock one and we clocked it numerous times with a gps and every time it was in the 75 -77 range and when he got his toomey pipes it was going 80-82 every time.
