Carbon Fiber Hoods for the 400ex!

okay guys check this out. This guys making carbon fiber hoods specifically for the 400ex. you can get them w/ or w/o scoops.

I was looking at the ATV Action today with chicky on that slick 250R.... Thinking.......:D okay, okay, I was thinking that I wish someone would make a carbon fiber hood with the scoop and still be able to have the headlights.

you could always lose the lights and mount some aftermarket ones to the frame. That's prolly what I'm gonna do.

I was thinking the same thing EXDAD. I love the look of the hoods, but I do some nightriding.

Also, I ordered a carbon fiber gas tank cover. This thing is half as thick as a rolling paper (cigarette, of course) and weighs about as much as one. I couldn't beleive it when I opened the box. The guy fixes them or replaces them if you break it. It feels like it would shatter if you look at it wrong. I hope it holds up. It looks cool as doodoo.

Well here is what I would do if I did night riding which I dont(not really any fun and no one to ride with) Buy the carbon fiber hood w/scoop and put it on then take your lights and sell them on ebay(last pair I saw was at 156 and and still going) go to Rocky MT ATV and buy the Lazer star 30 watt light kit that mounts on you handy bars and goes in stock elctrical system(get 75 watt major output requires you to rewind stator) you have dual beams and a much brighter light costs about 140-150 so all you are really doing is paying for the hood. As an added bonus you can take them off to race or ride in the day to make your quad look cooler.
But thats just what I would do.
