Alright guys i know ure gonna get mad at me, but i havent found the thread where this info is located......

Does the 450r hub bolt pattern match the 400ex?

i dont know where the thread is but of course ,,, they never ever have changed this since i can remeber but i am assuming its the same,,, but is a good assumption since they never have changed it

yes redrider, it is a fact, HONDA did not change the bolt hole pattern for the 450r compared to the 400ex. I have personally measured both hubs and they are the same, with the exception of color!

Just another confirmation. The rim part #'s are the same between the 400ex and the 450r. Hence the same bolt pattern.

I TALKED TO HIPER TECHNOLOGY AND THEY SAID THAT THE SPLINE ON THE AXLE IS THE SAME ON THE 450R AND 400EX.

I wonder if a 400ex axle will fit the swingarm? I'm also curious if the steering stem will be similar enough to fit on the 450?

I'd love to know the details on the axle too, I want to get a 2+2 so bad, I would love a RPM, but a Lonestar will do the trick!

I would not use the 400 axle even if it did fit the carrier. The 450r has a double bearing on the sprocket side,so the stock axle would have a extra shoulder machined into it that the 400 axle would not. Maybe the aftermarket axles are different though.

the rear swing arm is not interchangable between the 450r and the 400ex.

the rear axle is also not interchangeable between the 400ex and the 450R, even though the splines on both axle are the same- the flat surface for the inner race of the axle bearings are longer to accomadate the dual bearings on the 450r
