I am thinking of dropping down to a 14 tooth sprocket on my 400 and was wondering where it will help? I know it helps the low end but I was wondering if it is better for hill climbing. I lose alot of speed when I tackle steep hills and was wondering if this would help. I am also considering a slip on but can't find one that is quiet.(I thought the PC t-4 was until I read some posts on here) I guess I'll wait until I hear some exhausts to decide on that.

I recently put a 14 t sprocket on my 400 ex. The bottom end is greatly increased. I now climb hills in second gear that I had previously had to use first, second was just to high. Trail riding is better also since I don't have to change gears as often and I haven't noticed that much noticable loss to my top end.

Yes the bottom end willbe greatly improved. You should do better on hillclimbing, but you've still got to be in the right gear and shift at he right time...
