I am looking into an aftermarket axle. I just ordered Works shocks for the front, and told them I had standard a-arms. Should I, or do I have to get a standard sized axle, or what?

Also, what do you feel is a good axle, Lonestar, or Dura-Blue?

That looks nice, which model is it? Also, does it come with new hubs, or do the stockers fit on it?

the stock hubs will fit it and it is just the 400ex "Axcalibur" Axle which is adjustable form 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 wider than stock....you just move the spacers around........my hubs are lonestar and so is the anti fade..........the hubs and anti fade is all seperate

i just put on a lone star axle with the hubs and new works shocks for my 250 yesterday, i think that the lone star is the def way to go, i have olny heard bad things about the dura blues, plus the lone stars have a life time warrenty. the works shocks are really cool to.

im getting works shocks, and a lsr axle also, does the stock carrier work wit the axle? and can i use a rad axle nut on it?

thats how mine looked when it came to, it felt like it was christmas again when all the boxes came with the shocks, hubs, and axle, except it cost me 786 dollers. u will eventuly have to get a more heavy duty axle carrier, my friend just blew his cause he had his as wide as possible and the stock carrier just could not handle it, what im doing is just putting the hubs on then the spacers on the out side, so its not as wide as it can be, but then when i race i will turn them in. that way the carrier will last longer cause it will be less stress.

RPM....the dominator is great. Since i've seen with my own eyes THREE durablue axles break i will never buy a durablue. Lonestars are good axles but i love the RPM. it looks great, and it's super strong. and it also has a TRUE lifetime warrenty.

Stay away from durablue. I have had good luck with RPM.

Before you buy, look at the warranties of the two axles you listed. Good idea to look into a Dominator RPM axle. If you are planning on staying with your stock a-arms, or staying at that length you might want to look into a x-country style axle -2 to +1 this will give you stock length keeping you bike square. MX axles run +1 to +4. Hope this helps~

well im a pretty big guy, like 240# and as you know i like jumpin, ive broken 1 stock 400ex swing arm, 2 lonestar 400ex swing arms, and 1 lonestar 250r swing arm.ive solved the R problem with getting a rpm, hopefully i wont break the ex swingarm anytime soon but if i do, its rpm all the way.
heres when i broke my first one, haha

Yea, seems like 41 puts em through quite alot of abuse. Your videos are awesome! I luv your quads, very very nice!
I wont be going with LSR then when I get a frame and swingarm (Houser and Arens all the way!)
