Its hard to say If thats a dolphin by the pic. We have dolphins here, see them all the time. If you have dolphins around, you usely wont have sharks around. Dolphins tails go side to side, sharks tails go up and down. Kinda long overall for a dolphin, could be a shark. Maybe someone can find the page the pic came off of?

Unfortunately I already know I would freeze with panic:( I was surfing at Sabastian when a huge shark kept circling me and I just kind of froze. My buddy was screaming like a little ****** practically running across the water. I saw little ones 3-4ft. or less all the time and they never bothered me but this sucker was freaking huge and wouldn't go away for like 2 minutes. After my buddy freaked out it just swam away. It wasn't near as big as the one in that picture though...

When I was at the Dirt Riot, a couple days later Dana and I went surfing in Newport beach and I was scard as hell of running into a shark. I asked him if therewere sharks out there and he said "well... yeah, we're in the ocean..." That wasen't exaclty what Iwanted to hear...:eek2:

I have surfed for over twenty years and have seen sharks out there. They attack surfers because we wear wetsuits and look like seals. Sharks cant see very well and are attracted by vibrations and the scent of blood. The best thing to do is stay very still and Do Not Run!! There is no way you would outrun a shark anyway. Keep your hands and feet out of the water if you want to keep them. Wait for him to leave and catch a wave in and stay in. Out there you are part of the food chain:eek2:
