# Of Discs

I am currently running 12 discs on my 400EX WB E Series Slip on. What will added or dropping some discs do? I dont want to lose any sound, if anything it could be louder but I want to get the most out of it. The jetting is stock and I am using a K@N Filter.

You will most likey need to up the jetting, need more info like altitude, air temp and any other mods.

Why do you want it louder?

IM not saying I want it louder I just dont want to lose sound if I adjust the discs. It is hard to give temp now because it is so cold. Usual riding temp is 60 to 80.

18 discs is the most you should use. I run 12 with a stage 3 Dyno Jet kit K&N and no airbox lid and my bike rips. Removing discs will giv you more bottom end with the stock set up(air box lid stock jets) Adding discs will allow the motor to breath better to accomadate for your mods
