ight i jetted my carb i couldn't change the fuel screw..does that make a difference..i didnt havwe the right screwdriver but i changed the jet to a 165dj
its pretty cold like 10-30 degrees and at 0 elevation
its says to put the 170 but i put 165 cuz its colder is that right should i ahve gone lower?

also my fuel/air screw is out 2 turns

idle is fine..when moving its got better pull then stock
but in idle if i rev the motor..lets say from closed to about 1/2- 3/4
it just dies...?

should i switch the main jet to a lower number?

ha i kno everyone hates these questions...but too bad

airbox lid on? if so take it off and see if it dies. if it doesnt then id say you are rich. a 165 ...i ran a 152 main with a 11 to1 425 and full lid and also no lid

probably need a bigger pilot jet, like maybe a 42

I'm not quite clear on this, but it looks like you have something backward. Colder air is more dense and requires more fuel to keep the mixture right, so you jet up when it is cold.

isnt it the colder it is the less dense the air is?i always thought that, lol

colder is more dense. the colder it gets, the larger jet you use. however, i wouldn't be surprised if dynojet recommends a jet that is too rich so the bike runs cool. i don't use dynojets so i can't recommend a jet. however, from what i have been told, a 170 would be too big unless your motor is nicely built.

adrenaline, make sure everyone knows your using dynojets and NOT keihin jets. if you don't have a skrewdriver, how do you know where the fuel skrew is set at? are you running the dynojet needle too? if so where is the clip set at and do you have the washer under the clip or not?
